DJ/producer/instrumentalist NOGE updates “Between the Sheets,” The Isley Brothers’ sultry ballad, just in time to heat up hot summer nights.

The 1983 release on the Brothers’ same-titled funk album was most notably sampled by The Notorious B.I.G. for “Big Poppa” (1994). Now, NOGE’s version percolates with penetrating synths, soaking baile funk breakdowns as its alluring baseline washes over you.

Based in South France, NOGE is influenced by many genres—rap, soul, trap, house, techno, garage—and doesn’t hesitate to experiment with music and break down barriers. He’s also partners with French rapper Khidam on Voyager, a series of mixtapes that he produced beats for.

Meanwhile, he’s working on his first EP in collaboration with various artists due to drop at year’s end.

"My aim when I produce music is to bring out what I'm feeling at the moment. If I do it with honesty, people will feel it too. So for me, creating is spontaneous ane try to never forget to have fun while doing it!”

With his new edit, NOGE is sharing this love and not just between the sheets. “Between the Sheets” (NOGE Edit) is out now on Sophisticated Delinquency.
